What is the Four Golden Signals

The "Four Golden Signals" are the four key metrics used to monitor the health and performance of a distributed system.

1. Latency

The time it takes to service a request, usually measured in milliseconds.

2. Traffic

A measure of how much demand is being placed on your system, such as HTTP requests per second.

3. Errors

The rate of requests that fail, either explicitly, implicitly, or by policy.

4. Saturation

A measure of your systems's "fullness", indicating how much of your resources are being used.
